I cater to the nontraditional bride. No packages, no set hours, just an hourly price with hourly photos and a day entirely customized to fit your needs. That's what Kendall and Chad were looking for when they reached out to me. They were coming to Nashville all the way from Olympia, Washington State to Elope and wanted me to capture this special moment and I was beyond excited to be there for the special moment! They were getting married at the courthouse and just needed someone for two hours to capture everything and I knew I was the woman for the job! This kind of flexibility gave them the ability to spend all day celebrating together which is really the point of an elopement, right? Furthermore with my hiring only being for a couple hours, they were able to get pictures that will last a lifetime without breaking the bank so they can use their funds for other memories to last a lifetime!
We started the day at a coffee shop in the city. It was a perfect moment for two coffee lovers from the coffee capital of the U.S. (Seattle area). It was such an intimate moment to capture as they sipped their coffee and waited for their court appointment. The walk to the courthouse was short and beautiful.
At the courthouse, the big moment happened! These amazing couple was legally bound and could start their married life together. As with all marriages, a witness is needed to sign the license and I felt so honored to be that person for them. It's the small things like that that make me feel so lucky to be a photographer. I get to be a part of the most special parts of people's lives and capture those memories for them in the exact way they are hoping.
Then, the portraits! The photos they can send to family, frame to put in their house, and hold onto forever. This is where I like to get creative and really capture their personalities together after all the stress is over!
After this, we said our goodbyes. I sent them on their way with a novel of recommendations of where to eat and where to go in Nashville since this was their first time here. This is why I do what I do, to meet people like this and capture memories like these. I wish Kendall and Chad the best in their future endeavors and am so grateful to be a part of this day!
